Create your own whale to play with using a paper plate and a piece of paper!
Materials:
- Paper Plate
- Paper
- Paint/Crayons/Markers
- Whatever decorations you would like for your whale
- Googly Eye
- Black Marker
- White Glue or glue stick
Instructions:
Step 1: Colour/paint the paper plate your desired colour. Set aside to dry.

Step 2: Cut out paper to create the body for your whale and a water spout. For mine, I made the body narrower at the tail end and larger at the head.

Step 3: Once the plate has dried, cut up from the bottom of the plate about 8cm – this will be the tail. The size may vary depending on what kind of whale you choose to make.

Step 4: Glue the paper spout to the top of the whale’s head and the paper body between the whales head and tail.

Step 5: Glue on or draw your eye and add a face!

Bonus Activity: What other marine animals can you make out of a paper plate?
